As a community leader, Shona has a strong commitment to the development of people through social connection offered through participation in sport, recreation and community participation.
She is passionate about creating an organisational culture that is focused on community impacts and believes in the power of inspired young people that is empowering young people to feel in control of their life. They are confident in their ability to contribute to the world around them and they overcome challenges and realise their potential.
Shona has a proven history of achieving outcomes that enhance the financial, social and community impact through systematic approaches to organisational development. Creating excellent organisational approaches to systems, governance, and strategy and policy development are areas of expertise.
Shona has worked for local government in youth, sport and recreation delivery, in private practice as a Disability Consultant undertaking design reviews and audits on significant Melbourne sporting precincts, and for Not for Profit organisations such as Wheelchair Sports Victoria and YMCA and has volunteered in many sporting areas such as the Australian Paralympic Committee.
Shona has completed education in the field of; Bachelor of Arts- Youth Affairs
